Isn't She Lovely.

It's Saturday!

I could not be more thankful for the weekend! The weekend means I have a second set of eyes and hands to help out with my little man. 14 months is such an amazing age, but he can't be left alone for a second! That allows for little to no time for myself, but I promise I am not complaining!

As I type this, my big helper (aka my husband) is asleep on the couch. He is obviously excited for the weekend as well, but for different reasons! :)

Anyways, we spent this past week moving, and packing and unpacking, along with a lot of cleaning. I can not express how excited I am to be in a (rental) home. No more apartments. No more three flights of stairs. Hello front door and garage. HELLO BACKYARD!

The other night I got on my laptop for the first time in a week, since everything was packed, and the internet was down. The break from technology was definitely refreshing!

However, I was missing Simply Sweet Prints and itching to share some new creations!

Last night I created a new baby girl announcement. (Please excuse my adorable son's picture!)

I could not, for the life of me, decide which I liked more, so I am offering both versions of my new announcement, Lovely.
Lovely- Vertical (5x7)
Lovely- Horizontal (5x7)

Which style do you prefer?!

Resolutions

I know. It's January 8th and I am STILL working on my resolutions for the New Year.

I read Lauren Conrad's 10 Resolutions Everyone Should Make in 2014 yesterday, and I was truly inspired. Some are just so simple, yet somehow forgotten about.

Think a positive thought every morning.
Unplug for an hour a day.
Take a daily walk.

Check. Check. Check.

I can do those.

However, one really hit home... "Just do it already."

Plain & Simple.

I will be turning 30 later this month, so I decided it's time to stop making excuses. To just start doing.

Life is short. I want to live a life I'm proud of. I want to help and inspire others. I want to motivate and encourage others to do the same. I want to share random acts of kindness- Put a smile on the face of someone who truly needs it.

I want to make sure I love and enjoy each and every day!

Happy New Year

pinterest.com

When I started this blog, my plan was to post at least three times a week- never did I ever think finding time TO blog would become so hard! I still have so much to share that I plan on catching up on! My little man turned one, I will be opening a new Etsy store early this year, and there are so many reviews, recipes, and thoughts I have as well!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year, and here is to 2014-
May it be the best year yet!

Every Week

Yup. Every Week.

I feel as though being a stay at home mom does NOT make the whole "Monday" thing any worse.

The beginning of a new week. Husband back to work. A long list of to-do's, while trying to make the most of the days for my little man.

Monday's are usually a twomugsofcoffee kinda day for me.

Looking forward to sharing some posts this week including a new Citrus Lane review, an amazing go-to crock pot recipe for my family, and some festive Halloween themed backing recipes I'm dying to make!

Sign up for updates via email to right so you don't miss out!

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. And if you missed it, be sure to check out my very first Simple Things Sunday post. I'm so excited to be joining in!

"Nurses are angels in comfortable shoes."

I was so excited when I got a request to make a nurse themed frame the other day from MGA Home Healthcare.

I took my little man to the craft stores, and was so excited to see some of the cutest nursing related stickers!

Once my little man went to bed, and the house was finally quiet, I turned on some Kings of Leon, and got to work.

I am very excited to share the final product!

Thursday's Thought

I absolutely love this.

I've always struggled with letting go of things. It's hard for me. Really hard.

Especially when those "things" are people. I truly want to believe that there is good in everyone. That everyone has a good heart, means well, and that people can change.

However. I am realistic, and have learned that is not the case.

It's taken me a long time, and I've fought with myself on this. I have not always been the most positive person. But with personal struggles the past few years, it is really something I have been working on, and sometimes, against everything your heart and soul wants to do, you have to let go.

You can't help someone change, if they don't want change for themselves.

So I'm slowly learning that sometimes it's okay to let go. People come in and out of your lives for a reason. Whatever that may be. You just have to do what is best for you.

I have a friend who lost her dad a couple years ago, and just recently lost her mom. That weighs so heavy on my heart, which is why I wanted to make this post.

I am at peace with the decisions I've made in my life, who I've kept close to me, and who I've let go. Life is short. I have no room for negativity in my heart. I want to live my life to the fullest. I want to live a happy and positive life, for myself, my husband, my little man. My family.

Sometimes people can come around. It may be weeks, months, or years. I've decided I will deal with it, if and when the time comes. I know there is no reason to sit and stress about something that you yourself, have no control over, and can't change yourself.

I want those closest to me, those that mean the most to me, to never go a day wondering how I feel about them.

Don't ever go to bed mad.
Don't be petty, pick and choose your battles.
Don't ever miss a chance to tell someone you love them.
Don't be lazy, pick up the phone.
Make at least one new memory each day.
Call someone just to say hello.
Send a card to let someone know you are thinking of them.
Don't say something you can't take back, and more importantly something you may regret.
Take a million pictures.
Hug and kiss your loved ones daily.

So those are my thoughts for this Thursday!

On a lighter note, I'm working on a new frame. It's a custom order, and I can't wait to share!

Thursday's Thought

The mornings have been beautiful here in Arizona. When I saw it was under 70 degrees when we got up today, I knew I wanted to make the most of it. My little man and I went on a long walk to the park, and fed the ducks! So much fun, and all it cost was a loaf of expired bread! :)

Hope everyone is having an amazing day!
